I really tried to like Roscoe’s. From the jolly Transylvanian accented hosts (at least I think that they were Transylvanian) to the Frida inspired art-decor, this place seemed to have everything.

Things went well until we ordered. The slow service was expected given that we had 10 people in attendance. The coffee was of poor quality. Their hollandaise sauce was ill-conceived - think fluorescent yellow - and made many members in our group feel ill after.

Those that ordered regular items however seemed content. Their omelettes looked okay. So too did their mash (a hash brown + corned beef mix).

On account of half the group having enjoyed themselves, the welcoming hosts and the arbitrary art-decor we rate Roscoes:

while i did not sample the grilled cheese at roscoe’s (actually, i’m not sure if gcs are on the menu?) i did try the toast. i’m sorry to report it wasn’t that great, and neither was the coffee. however, i give the eclectic interior and the nice hosts 4.21 toasts!

but overall i support the 2-toast rating

i had the greek eggs benny. while the idea sounded great, the execution was poor. if you do have to eat at roscoe’s, i suggest you stay away from the anything with ‘benny’ in the name. 2 toasts.

Ya’ll are crazy. I had a great breakfast! Traditional Eggs Benedict. I especially liked the paintings and random knick-knacks for sale. Think of it as eating AND yard-sale shopping at the same time.

I would like to appeal the 2-toast rating and lobby for a increase to 2.5.

hmm, i must have low standards. i had the omelet; you can’t really mess up an omelet. i really liked my old school swivel chair with wheels too.
